Privacy Policy

Effective May 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how we (the operator of the Site, “we,” “us,” or “our”) handle information in connection with the Consultants' Guides website at consultantsguides.com (the “Site”). The Site offers free informational resources, guides, and links to related projects. We have designed it to collect as little about you as possible.

The short version

  • We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share your personal information.
  • We measure traffic with cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics (Vercel Web Analytics and PostHog in cookieless mode). No cookie is set for analytics unless you click “Accept”.
  • We do not use cookies for advertising.
  • We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not require you to provide personal information to read or download our resources.
  • The only browser storage we use is essential, first-party storage needed for the Site to function (for example, remembering your privacy choice).

Information we collect

Information you choose to send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to respond to you.

Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) automatically records standard technical request data — such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested — for security, abuse prevention, and reliability. These logs are retained for a limited period and are not used by us to build profiles or to track you across other sites.

Local storage. Some pages store small amounts of data in your browser to make features work — for example, remembering the privacy choice you make in our notice, or temporarily caching data for an interactive tool so it loads faster. This is first-party, functional storage. It stays in your browser, is not sent to advertisers, and is not used to track you.

Cookies, trackers, and your consent

The Site does not load Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising pixels, or similar cross-site trackers. Web fonts are self-hosted, so loading a page does not send a request to a third-party font service.

Always on (cookieless): Vercel Web Analytics records aggregate page views, referrers, and device/country using a hashed, daily-rotating identifier and no cookies. PostHog runs in cookieless, memory-only mode so we can see which episodes, guides, and links are useful — nothing is stored in your browser and sessions are not linked across visits.

Only if you accept: PostHog may set a first-party cookie so return visits are recognised, and may record anonymised interaction events (clicks, scroll). We do not use session replay. Declining keeps you in cookieless mode. You can change your choice at any time:

How we use information

We use the limited information described above to operate, secure, and improve the Site, to respond to messages you send us, and to comply with legal obligations. We do not use it for behavioral advertising, and we do not sell it.

Third parties

We rely on Vercel Inc. to host and deliver the Site; it processes technical request data as our service provider. The Site also links to other websites and projects (including third-party stores and tools). Once you follow an external link, that destination's own privacy practices apply, and this policy no longer governs.

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing.

Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Children

The Site is intended for a general, professional audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
